The hottest-baked home in Lubbock, Texas

Unfortunately, some fires do much more damage than can be solve with a cleaning and refurbishing. This home, which was already not kept very clean, was devastated by a fire around Christmas time. Because the roof was metal and not shingled, the home “baked” like an oven, making the fire that much more intense. AS you can see, when a fire blazes hot enough, natural wooden fixtures such as doors or rafters do what is called “crocodiling,” or flaking and cracking like crocodile skin.
